Hunter Back On Track With Two Top-10 Finishes
Wreck Doesn't Ruin Robbins' Double-Header Weekend
After a flat tire deflated his chances at victory in the CRA Series event at O'Reilly Raceway Park (IN) last month, Hunter Robbins kept his head in the game and foot to the floor.   Friday and Saturday Robbins entered the Five Flags Speedway (FL) and Mobile International Speedway (AL) races looking for solid runs.  While he was able to net two top-10 finishes, Robbins wanted more.
Friday night, Robbins was running third and looking for a great finish when he was involved in an on track incident, pushing him to a 10th-place finish.

“We knew we had a good car,” said Robbins.  “We either had a winning car or a top-three car.  Early in the race, we were just riding there behind Carlson (Scott Carlson).  We were just waiting until we got tires so we could go.

“We were running third and I don’t think anyone behind us was going to pass us.  We ended up getting wrecked.”
With the second half of the double-header weekend still remaining at Mobile for Robbins, the team thrashed to get the car back together before heading to the track.  The hard work paid off as Robbins crossed the finish in fourth.

“We drove to Eddie Mercer’s shop and worked all day to fix the car,” said Robbins.  “At the track the car handled very good.  During the race it wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be, but it was a solid finish.  The crew guys worked real hard to get everything right on the car after it got tore up at Five Flags.”

Robbins will now race with the CRA Series at Music City Motorplex (TN) on November 4th.
Hunter had a fast car all weekend.
