Robbins’ Trip To IPR Goes “Flat”
Hunter Robbins said it himself… there’s not too many places like Indianapolis Raceway Park in Alabama or Georgia.  That is one of the reasons the 16-year-old headed to IRP for Saturday’s Circle Track Nationals.  And the $10,000 first-place prize didn’t hurt either.
But things didn’t go too well for Robbins.  After running in the top-10 in practice and qualifying 17th, Robbins suffered a slow leaking tire in the mostly caution-free 100-lap feature event, and wound up 29th.

“I really liked the track.  It was awesome,” said Robbins.  It feels like you are racing at the big time.  The track is tricky, but the facility it awesome.  We don’t have anything like this anywhere down south.  It’s just a cool place to run.

“We started off in practice and qualifying and had a good car.  Come race time though, we had a tire that started going flat.  It just ruined our night.  After that, there was nothing we could do about it.  When we came in and checked it, it had about eight pounds of pressure in it.”
Robbins will now race with the PASS South Series at Hickory Motor Speedway for the “Over the Mountain 150” on Saturday night, September 29th.
