Hunter Robbins Ready For Chance To Play At Music City Motorplex
Momentum is a powerful thing. It is rather difficult to stop something in motion, and Hunter Robbins is riding along on a huge wave of momentum. Just a few short weeks ago, Robbins came up just short of winning what could have been the biggest race of his career thus far, when he finished second at the Rattler at South Alabama Speedway (AL). Next week, he will have the chance to capitalize on the momentum his team left at the Rattler as he looks toward his next event, The Spring Clash 150 at Music City Motorplex, where he may be able to claim his first Nashville Guitar.
“We have had a long break between races,” said Robbins, whose last start came on March 4th at the Rattler. “I am really ready to go back racing. I have been racing on the computer, just trying to find something to do with racing.”
Part of the reason for Robbins’ restlessness is the fact that he hasn’t had his racecar in his shop to work on.
“We haven’t had the car here at our shop, so I haven’t been able to work on it. The car is still down at Augie Grill’s, the Grand American Race Cars shop. It had a little frame damage from that last-lap incident at the Rattler. We just wanted it to be just like it was when we picked it up, brand new.”
While the car may be as good as new, the track won’t be a new one for the young Robbins. He has been around the half-mile before in an ASA Late Model, as well as a Super Late Model, and he looks forward to the chance of being able to claim the win behind the wheel of his Super Late Model.
"We haven’t had too good of luck at Nashville, but I think that everything should go a lot different for us this year. We have got a really good car and a really good crew chief helping us. I think that everything is just fitting together and that this race should be really good for us.
“There are a lot of cars that are entered for this race; I think there are close to fifty entered into the race, so it is going to be a competitive field that makes the race, and hopefully we will be one of those cars out there when it is time to go green.”

Despite the competitive field and the bad luck that has plagued him at the track before, Robbins doesn’t think that anything can stop the roll that his team is on. And he is really looking forward to adding that unique Nashville Guitar trophy to his shelf.
“We still have all of this momentum from the Rattler,” added Robbins. “We had such a good run down there that I think we have a good setup for Nashville, and we are going to go up there with high hopes and just see what we can do.”
Hunters Robbins will be back on the track on Sunday, April 1st, at Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of the Spring Clash weekend.
