Hunter Robbins Survives Tough Weekend

Hunter and the team went back to Five Flags Speedway for the third of five Blizzard races. Hunter qualified eighth where he ran for most of the race until a couple of late pit stops forced him to finish 18th.

“During practice my car was pretty good, but we struggled to get it exactly where I wanted.” said Robbins. “After starting eighth that’s where I rode until we started making pit stops to try to make the car better. We were just a little bit off tonight.”

The next night at Mobile looked promising as Hunter started eighth and drove to fourth until a tangle with another driver midway through the race bent a spindle. “The car was great tonight, one of the best I’ve ever had here at Mobile. On the long run I was really able to pass a lot of cars. After I got to fourth I just started riding to conserve my equipment until pitstops came. After pitstops I was in good shape until a car got into me going down the straightaway. I knew it bent something and I just had to hang on to it from there.” Hunter would end up finishing seventh.

Hunter will be back in action at Montgomery Motor Speedway on July 18th.
